With the Akiles DuoMac C31 Binding Machine you can bind documents with either a plastic comb or 3:1 pitch double loop wire. The C31 is the only combination machine of its kind. The unique design of the C31 includes a wire closer (for use with 3:1 pitch wire), a plastic comb opener and two independent punching die sets that give it the ability to punch both a 19 hole pattern for plastic comb binding and a 32 hole 3:1 pitch hole pattern for twin loop wire binding. It has a single punch capacity of up to 20 sheets of 20lb bond paper. The C31 is full of features such as: Punch handles, a 14" open punching throat, continuous punching guide, depth margin control, wire closer control (with continuous adjusting scale), a master selector (for correct wire diameter, closing position, depth margin and wire pitch), diameter scale, wire holder, waste drawer, vertical wire closer, side margin control, full die disengagement pins, wire closer handle, comb opener handle and a heavy-duty design by CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) technology. Normally, you would have to use two or three different binding machines to do the same tasks as the DuoMac C31 allowing you to save space, time and money.
