The First Alert 2092DF Waterproof Fire Safe formally known as the Honeywell 2092DF, is a UL classified safe that has been tested by an independent testing lab confirmed to protect electronic media. It is designed to withstand external temperature of less of 1700 degrees for 1 hour and has a protective waterproof seal that keeps contents dry even when fully submerged in water keeping your valuables safe from harms way.

Technical Summary:

The First Alert 2092DF is designed with a programmable digital lock(requires batteries) and an emergency override key if the lock password is forgotten or if the batteries die. The safe will protect electronic media such as: external hard drives, CD's, DVD's, memory sticks, external hard drives, documents, valuables, and electronics. It also has concealed hinges to resist prying and contains 4 locking bolts. There is an adjustable storage shelf to accommodate your particular storage and a hanging key rack and passport / document storage.

The First Alert 2092DF Waterproof Fire Safe is ideal for homes and businesses with moderate storage needs. This safe is not recommended to store audio, floppy discs, data cartridges, audio or video cassettes, firearms, and pearls. Areas for the safe with high humidity should be avoided. It is important to open and air out the safe for 20 minutes every two weeks, delicate items such as pictures or intricate jewelry should be placed in an air-sealed container before storing in safe.
