Technical Summary:

Stack-On created the GSX-836 with an electronic lock with a keypad, as well as operational lights to alert you to an open door, low battery, or incorrect entry. The safe enters an automatic time-out period after 3 incorrect entry attempts. Behind the lock, a drill-resistant, hardened steel plate increases the protection against direct drill attacks. The pry-resistant door is constructed of solid steel and works with the extra-thick doorframe for enhanced security. There are a total of 10 locking points-7 large, live-action locking bolts with 3 solid-steel deadbolts on the hinge side of the door.

The GSX-836 carries an ETL Verified Mark to withstand external temperatures up to 1400ºF, while maintaining the internal temperature at or below 350ºF. The door is filled with a fire-retardant material to create a firewall to protect the safe’s contents, and the special door stripping expands with direct contact with high temperatures, sealing the safe.

The batteries are easily accessible from the front of the safe and can be replaced with ease. It includes Stack-On’s patented gun barrel rests and standoffs to store your scoped guns. This system allows you to stand your scoped rifles upright, side-by-side in the safe for efficient space utilization, as well as firearm protection. The standoffs can be removed/attached to any Stack-On barrel rest. The interior is fully carpeted to protect against small scratches and dings, and the 6-carpeted shelves give you the versatility to arrange the safe to meet your exact storage needs.

The outer dimensions are 35-1/4" (W) x 26-3/4" (D) x 59" (H), the inner dimensions are 32.813" (W) x 20.75" (D) x 56.125" (H), the shelf dimensions are 15-1/2" (W) x 20-1/8" (D) x (Adjustable), it weighs approximately 607 lbs., and it is approved by the California Department of Justice (DOJ). A trouble key is included for immediate, emergency access.
