Strip Cut Shredders

Strip cut paper shredders, also called straight-cut or spaghetti-cut paper shredders, slice documents into long, thin strips. Strip cut paper shredders are excellent for general applications in the home or office because they can usually handle a high volume of paper with low maintenance requirements.

Strip cut paper shredders use rotating steel blades that cut the page length-wise into narrow strips that are typically between 1/16”-1/2”, with the most popular strip size being 1/4”-1/8”. Strip cut paper shredders produce more waste volume compared with crosscut paper shredders; however, they are designed with fewer blades, which means they usually cut more paper volume per pass.
