Air Feed Paper Folders - The Basics

What is an air feed paper folder?
Air-Feed (Vacuum) Folders, unlike friction feed folders, utilize the power of compressed air to separate and drive paper sheets through the folding process. Typically, medium to larger sized offices, or printing businesses prefer air-feed folders over friction due largely to how fast and effective they are.

Why should I use an air feed paper folder?
Air feed paper folders use air to suck paper into the paper folding machine to be folded. If your application involves folding glossy paper documents, then an air feed folder is recommended. The glossy paper tends to slip on the friction rollers of a traditional friction feed paper folder, so the machine is not capable of producing a good fold.
