Productive and Efficient Deep Pile Suction Feed Collator

At Print 05, September 9 – 15 in Chicago, Standard Finishing Systems will show the recently released Standard Horizon VAC-60 Deep-pile Suction Feed Collator. Designed for commercial printers, in-plant printers, and trade binderies, the VAC-60 allows for long-run production efficiency and productivity.

The Standard Horizon VAC-60 Deep-pile Collator has five inches of bin capacity allowing for less frequent reloading of paper. The VAC-60 uses the same patented rotary-pulse vacuum feeding system as the proven VAC-100, and delivers exceptional speed and productivity on nearly all paper stocks. Up to six VAC-60 towers can be combined to create 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 or 36-station systems in a minimum of floor space.

The deep-pile VAC-60 is equipped with a touch-screen control console for ease of operation, advanced programming, error detection and system monitoring. System functions are presented using an icon-based graphical interface. This provides for easy training, operation and troubleshooting. A standard remote control allows operators to control all primary functions from any location on the system.

VAC-60 Collating Towers can be configured in-line with Standard Horizon SPF-11/20/20A/30 class bookletmaking and saddlestitching systems, or the Horizon ST Series of Stackers. These rugged, industrial-duty accessories are proven performers in commercial print shops, in-plants shops, and trade binderies.

According to David Reny, vice president, managing director, Standard Finishing Systems, “the new deep-pile Standard Horizon VAC-60 Collator provides long-run production efficiency by cutting reload times by half or more. By combining proven VAC feeding technology with the complete line of Horizon stacking, bookletmaking, and saddlestitching accessories, the VAC-60 sets a new standard in powerful, productive, and efficient offset stacking and bookletmaking.”

Standard Finishing Systems, a division of Standard Duplicating Machines Corporation, is based in Andover, Massachusetts.
