Standard Introduces New Document Binding System

Standard Duplicating Machines Corporation of Andover, Massachusetts, introduced its new desktop thermal tape binding system, the AccuBind-Pro, to its Authorized Dealers throughout the United States and Canada.

According to Doug Reny, vice president and director of marketing, Standard Business Systems, the AccuBind-Pro replaces the former AccuBind model and represents an exciting and meaningful evolution of Standard’s AccuBind Thermal Binding System. The hallmark of the AccuBind Binding System is its binding strength, flexibility, speed and high quality appearance of its unique woven linen thermal binding strips. The AccuBind-Pro utilizes the same proven linen binding strip technology as the previous model while incorporating significant advancements in the ease of operation and bind thickness capacity. One of the key advancements is a new integrated binding strip feed system. The operator simply inserts the lead edge of a binding strip into the AccuBind-Pro and the automatic feed system then precisely center positions the binding strip for each book being bound. In 18 to 20 seconds, the AccuBind-Pro produces a flexible “lie-flat” style book bind for 8.5” x 11” paper with push button simplicity. The expanded binding capacity is up to 1.25" or approximately 325 sheets and binds at speeds up to 200 books per hour. The binding strips are available in a broad range of widths and colors to meet a diversity of document binding needs and applications.

“Standard is very excited about the AccuBind-Pro and how well the new design and further enhance the AccuBind Binding System’s capability to meet the needs of the desktop binding market”, said Reny. “The binding market’s desire for industry advancements that provide increased productivity, simpler operation, a modern attractive appearance and professional results are met on all fronts with the AccuBind-Pro.”

The AccuBind-Pro Document Binding System will be exclusively distributed in North America through Standard’s two sales divisions; the Business Systems Division and the Finishing Systems Division and their respective networks of independent Authorized Dealers.

Standard Duplicating Machines Corporation based in Andover, Massachusetts, markets a complete line of digital duplicating and document finishing systems through an independent dealer network throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
