The GBC 2080WF 80" Roll Laminator is a top-heat laminator that can accommodate pressure-sensitive film up to 79" wide and mounting applications up to 1" thick. It is designed with the innovative, patent-pending Dynamic Braking System, in which a safe electronic eye provides ultimate operator safety: the nip roller stops immediately when the beam is broken.

Technical Summary:

The GBC 2080WF 80” Roll Laminator works at speeds up to 15’ per minute and can accommodate film up to 10-mil thick and sheets up to 79” wide. It reaches a maximum temperature of 300º F, which allows you to work with specialty products like AccuShield®: a liquid-coating alternative. It has a mode button that lets you select the speed, pressure, and heat and the MasterDial sets precise measurements. An electromechanical system controls the pressure and mounting settings for the heat rollers automatically. Use the foot pedal for hands-free operation and both left and right-handed operators can use the 2080 because of the built-in, bi-directional manual cutter.

The 2080WF has the Dynamic Braking System that gives you the best safety and control while laminating while protecting your fingers. GBC has used the latest developments in alloys when designing the heaters to provide consistent temperatures and superior heat recovery. The rollers gap to accommodate materials up to 1” thick for mounting using boards. The top heat reduces silvering in pressure-sensitive film and improves the activation of adhesives. The unwind and rewind shaft combinations make the 2080WF truly versatile: they remove the liners of pressure-sensitive film on the top shaft and the mounting adhesive on the bottom shaft; take up the AccuShield® carrier for self-trimmed output, and handle graphics from roll to roll.
