The Formax FD 260 Tabbing System is an efficient, dependable tabber that makes compliance with postal regulations simple. It accepts a wide variety of tabs, and is capable of tabbing up to 15,000 pieces per hour.

Technical Summary:

The Formax FD 260 uses "crash tab" technology; a mailpiece is fed into the machine where it contacts an adhesive tab, and travels through a set of rollers that fold and seal the tab to create a mail-ready piece. Production rate is high, since the short edge of the document feeds through the machine, and the short paper path requires no skewing adjustment. Down time is minimal, thanks to the built-in waste take-up spool. Documents can be fed multiple times if mailpiece requires 2 or more tabs. The optional FD 260-10 Feeder increases accuracy and productivity; up to 8" of material to be tabbed can be stacked, and side guides prevent the stack from skewing. The FD 260-20 Conveyer may also be added; finished material is moved out of the tabber at a rate of up to 120 feet per minute, and is stacked in sequential order for easy removal. For smaller jobs, the FD 260-30 Catch Tray provides a low-volume option for finished mailpiece collection.

Some form of mechanized feed, either the FD 260-10 or an in-line paper folder, should be used with this machine to maximize speed and ensure proper feed alignment.
