The Dahle 40434 Level 6 High Security Paper Shredder creates particles 1mm x 4.7mm (approx. 1/32" x 3/16") out of up to 12 sheets of paper per pass, which are collected in a 30 gallon waste bin. Cutting cylinders are milled from solid blocks of German Solingen steel, ensuring premium quality and durability. The 1.2 hp continuous duty motor can shred for extended periods of time without damaging the unit, and is driven by a steel chain and gears for maximum slip-free power. The EvenFlow Lubricator automatically drips oil across the entire cutting head to prevent buildup of paper dust and reduce wear on the cutting cylinders, maintaining cutting capacity and quality. The 40434 features the SmartPower multi phase Energy Management system, which drops power consumption after sitting idle for 10 minutes by engaging a sleep mode. If the shredder remains unused for an additional 20 minutes, it turns off, completely cutting off power and conserving energy. It also features automatic start/stop, auto stop when the bag is full, and auto reverse in the event of a jam.
