The Formax FD 8300HS Shredder provides top secret, Level 6 High Security shredding in a compact unit that fits under a desk. This compact shredder meets the requirements of NSA/CSS specification 02-01 for Level 6 High Security cross-cut paper shredders.

Technical Summary:

The Formax FD 8300HS features an all metal cabinet with casters, a heavy duty waste bin, and heat treated steel cutting cylinders, all of which are designed for durability. The continuous duty motor is protected by a thermal cutout, and has heavy duty steel gears for high performance and minimal noise. An optical sensor detects paper and starts operation manually, stopping when no more paper is detected; a manual function allows for shredding of small paper which can't be detected by the sensor. In the event of a jam, the auto revers function engages to clear it, and the machine will stop running when the waste bin is full or the cabinet door is opened. The easy-to-use LED control panel makes operation easy, and after every 4 hours of shredding, the panel flashes to suggest oiling. The optional EvenFlow™ Automatic Internal Oiling System can be added to lubricate the cutting blades for optimal performance. There is also an auto cleaning function; if shred capacity is decreased, hold the reverse button for 5 seconds to begin a 1 minute reverse cycle. All these high end commercial-grade features come in a small, sturdy package with the FD 8300HS.
