The Formax FD 8730HS features heat-treated steel cutting cylinders, which have been specially ground for longevity. This means they require minimal oil, which is provided by the EvenFlow™ Internal Automatic Oiling System. The powerful continuous duty motor features heavy duty steel gears and thermal overload protection. The LED control panel controls the shredders operations and features a load indicator. If shred capacity is decreased, holding the reverse button for 5 seconds initiates a one minute auto cleaning cycle. The machine auto starts and stops, thanks to an optical sensor for detecting paper; a manual function can be used when shredding small paper that cannot be detected by the sensor. In the event of a jam, the auto reverse feature switches the motor into revers to clear the jam. The motor will automatically stop when the waste bin is full or the cabinet door is opened. All these features are housed in a sturdy all-metal cabinet with casters to provide years of classified shredding service.
