JamStop Auto Reverse Anti-Jam Technology can quickly reverse in the event of a paper overload, preventing damage to the shredder or downtime to clear a jam. The B34L6 has an Energy Management and Control System (EMCS), a unique feature that comprises of several energy saving modes that add up to as much as a 90% savings in energy. The automatic switch-off function powers the unit down completely when not used for an hour. The automatic shutdown function activates sleep mode 2 minutes from the last shred use. Hold the control key for 4 seconds to engage permanent mode, which continuously runs for large shred jobs.

Laser cut heat treated solid steel cutting cylinders feature V-TEK cutting groove technology, which creates higher cutting capacity with lower power requirements.
