The machine is capable of shredding plastic materials (like CDs, DVDs and credit cards), and has separate sets of cutting blades and distinct bags for separating shredded materials. It has carbon hardened cutting knives, which allow it to shred staples and paper clips as well. Using the Touch Screen, the machine can even be set up to run for 30 seconds continuously to shred transparent materials that do not engage the electronic eye.
