Shredder Warranty

HSM of America, LLC. warrants, for a period of time from the date of shipment, that its products will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under normal operating conditions.

Warranty stages listed below:

Parts to repair any failure caused by defects is limited to (one) 1 year from date of invoice. Labor associated with failure caused by defects is limited to (ninety) 90 days from the date of invoice. (High security (hs) models are not considered to be commercial shredders)

High Security/Level 6 Government Use Shredders:

Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defects is limited to (ninety) 90 days from the date of invoice. (Models 105.2hs, 225.2hs, 390.2hs, 411.2hs)

Commercial Strip Cut, Commercial Crosscut and Particle Cut Shredders: Cutting cylinders are warranted to be free of defects for five (5) years. (Models 104.2 - 411.1)

High Security/Level 6 Crosscut Shredders: Cutting system components are warranted to be free from defects for five (5) years. (Models 105.2 hs, 125.2 hs, 225.2 hs, 390.2 hs, 411.1 hs)

In all cases the final authority in determining cutting cylinder defects lies with the manufacturer, HSM of America, LLC., a division of HSM Pressen. All cutting systems must be returned to HSM of America.

Limited one year cutting systems warranty for cross cut industrial models and limited 3 year cutting systems warranty on straight cut industrial models.

*This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accident, misuse, abuse, water damage, fire or freight handling. Particle cut, Crosscut and High Security Crosscut shredder require lubrication as directed in the Operator Manual, and are paper only shredders. Failure to lubricate these systems will void the warranty. Modifications, alterations, and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Note: High security and Level 6 shredders cannot accept paper clips or staples.
